Shear Genius Season 3- A Risque Runway

The new season of Shear Genius kicked off this Wednesday on Bravo with new host Camila Alves.


Although I did not follow the show during season 2, I followed every minute of the first season where I first met my now hairstylist idol Tabatha Coffey. She has been such an inspiration to me as a professional hairstylist.

As another fun part of this blog I will be following Season 3 and posting weekly updates here. This week we met a very unique cast.
Each showing us their own creativity early on as you will see in the clip below of their first challenge.


While my personal favorite Amy took the lead in the shortcut challenge, her look in the elimination challenge did not impress the judges. Her braided bikini top seemingly unravelled as her model walked down the runway. Amy made the cut over fellow competitors Adee and Joey who was cut in the end. Although in my opinion Adee's little temper tantrum backstage should have earned him a one way ticket back home.

In the elimintation challenge, Janine who's "dark brown speed racer helmet" had the judges questioning her talent in the shortcut challenge, came through with a win in the end, granting her immunity in next weeks elimination challenge.
